Marie-Claire Howard, HEL’s VP of Finance, Awarded the Ordre National du Mérite Medal
We here at HEL are proud to share that Marie-Claire Howard, our VP Finance, was recently awarded the Ordre National du Mérite medal by the French government in recognition of her services to French culture in Canada. In a ceremony held at the Point Grey Golf Club on May 29, 2024, the French Ambassador bestowed the medal on Marie-Claire in front 80 plus friends, family and supporters, including Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim (see photo). Marie-Claire was recognized for spearheading the construction of the new expanded Alliance Francaise building at 47th and Cambie, which will be opening this summer. The Ordre National du Mérite is the French equivalent to the Order of Canada.
