Marie-Claire Howard brings extensive experience in small business management to her role as V.P. Finance & Operations of Howard Employment Law.

Marie-Claire Howard began her career as a journalist, first in her native France and then in Toronto. Highlights of her journalism career include meeting Nelson Mandela and Vaclav Havel. She then worked for a prominent Toronto public relations agency before joining the communications team supporting the Ontario government’s flagship job creation program, Jobs Ontario Training, where she assisted the Premier and his ministers with media relations activities.

Since moving to Vancouver in 1994, Marie-Claire worked in communications for BC Housing and then as a consultant for clients like IBM and the BC Association of Professional Foresters. Since 2000, she has managed a number of law corporations, a fitness consulting business and a home design/renovation business.

Marie-Claire studied political science (with a minor in skiing) at the Universite de Grenoble in France, and English at the University of British Columbia. In 2019, she enrolled in the MBA program at the Australian Institute of Business.

For the last ten years, Marie-Claire has been a Board member at the Alliance Francaise de Vancouver. As Chair of the Board, she is spearheading the design and construction of a brand new cultural centre at the AFV’s Cambie location.

In her spare time, Marie-Claire enjoys tennis, golfing, soaking up the sun in Palm Desert, and spoiling her cat Boxer.
