Marie-Claire Howard brings extensive experience in small business management to her role as V.P. Finance & Operations of Howard Employment Law.

Marie-Claire Howard began her career as a journalist, first in her native France and then in Toronto. Highlights of her journalism career include meeting Nelson Mandela and Vaclav Havel. She then worked for a prominent Toronto public relations agency before joining the communications team supporting the Ontario government’s flagship job creation program, Jobs Ontario Training, where she assisted the Premier and his ministers with media relations activities.

Since moving to Vancouver in 1994, Marie-Claire worked in communications for BC Housing and then as a consultant for clients like IBM and the BC Association of Professional Foresters. Since 2000, she has managed a number of law corporations, a fitness consulting business and a home design/renovation business.

Marie-Claire has an MBA from the Australian Institute of Business.  She studied political science at the Université de Grenoble Alpes in France, journalism at the Toronto Metropolitan University and English at the University of British Columbia

Marie-Claire plays an active role in the community. As chair of Alliance Francaise Vancouver, she has spearheaded the construction of a $22 million cultural centre on Cambie. She is also a Director of Latincouver Cultural & Business Society. In 2022, Marie-Claire was elected for a four-year mandate as Park Board Commissioner for the City of Vancouver.
